Cradle of Faith is a piece born from the desire to capture a moment where grace and strength coexist beneath the surface of visible life. At its center is the figure of Jesus walking calmly atop water, clothed in flowing light robes that suggest both simplicity and dignity. Draped over his shoulders is a multicolored cloth that adds a subtle vibrancy without detracting from the serenity of his posture and gentle expression.  

But it is the hands beneath the water that command immediate attention—large, ethereal, and glowing softly with an otherworldly light. These hands cradle and support, lifting the figure without effort or hesitation. Their presence is both protective and tender, embodying an unseen care that steadies and sustains. The gentle ripples on the water’s surface beneath them reinforce a quiet sense of stability and calm.

This piece stands apart in its focus on the unseen forces that carry us forward—those moments when letting go opens the way to peace and perseverance. Through deliberate attention to light, texture, and form, I aimed to evoke a feeling of being held, steady and secure, even amid uncertainty.

Cradle of Faith is an invitation: to recognize the tender power that holds us, to embrace the calm that comes from resting in higher care, and to find in that steady presence a source of enduring hope. It asks us to see beyond what is visible, acknowledging the quiet strength that lifts us when we walk over waters that might otherwise overwhelm.
